Have rosacea or dry, sensitive skin?

I have suffered with Rosacea for about 4 years now. I have tried just about everything to try and tame it. Now, I will remind you, there is no cure for rosacea. There are plenty of treatments and medicines that can keep it under  control, but no cure. First, you want to see a dermatologist if you have rosacea. I haven't been able to but here's what works for me. People with rosacea have very dry, flaky, sensitive skin, so even if you don't have rosacea these tips can still help improve your skin if it meets that description. First, you need to find a cleanser that is gentle as can be. You don't want anything that says it's meant to fight acne. That's another way of saying "going to break you out, terribly". My favorite is Aveeno's Ultra Calming Foaming Cleanser. It truly is amazing and so inexpensive. After using that, my skin is already so much less inflamed. Now, most toners will either make your skin unbearably dry, red, or break you out. I have found that witch hazel toner, does not irritate my skin at all. I'm sure you can find this for cheap at any drug store. I found mine at target. Probably the most important thing you will do with rosacea skin is moisturize. People with rosacea have extremely dry skin. You need to moisturize day and night with a moisturizer that is creamy and hydrating, but is also gentle. I have tried a few. Olay's for sensitive skin is not bad at all. I've used it for about two years. Recently, I started using Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizer. This stuff is the bee's knees. I know it's quite pricey, but if you ask me, it's definitely worth it. It's probably not new news, but good skin comes from the inside. You want to avoid strenuous cardio activity, spicy food, alcohol, extreme weather, and things that aren't great for you in general like processed sugars. No, you don't need to cut these things out of your life completely, but do limit them. I am not a doctor, I haven't even seen a doctor about my condition. These are just things that have worked for me in my attempt to keep my skin at bay. :)

My new obsession.

GOODWILL. Really, thrift stores that are not re-sale in general. I never thought of GoodWill as somewhere to find good clothing, simply because they take everything. Boy, was I wrong. Now, keep in mind I live in a big city so lots of people donate. I have found some great things at Good Will. Actually, some of my favorite clothing items are from their currently. I have a Banana Republic top. It's such a pretty shade of indigo with big pretty princess puffy sleeves. I also have found some really good sweaters there. When you go, please inspect everything thoroughly. I have bought a few things I was really excited about and discovered when I got home that there were holes in it. It's very disappointing. Make sure to keep an open mind! Some of my favorite things are things I didn't think I'd ever wear!

Ideas in the making.

I just made this not too long ago, so of course it's not going to be perfect yet but I think having a theme for every week day would be really cute. Here are a few ideas I have that are NOT set in stone at all, but I'm still pretty excited about.

 Wake-Up, Make-Up Mondays
Dupesday

Thrifty Thursdays
Fashion Fridays

I know their really cheesy, but that was most definitely done on purpose. Also, I haven't come up with one for Wednesday that I love yet but I will soon. I do plan to post as much as possible and I'm so excited.
